After a month of graduating from college, working a job as a pizza boy for Dominos and living with an ex, a friend and his girlfriend in a cramped apartment, I bought El-P’s I’ll Sleep When You’re Dead.

I use to just wake up at midnight, creep out of my apartment and walk through the city with this playing on my MP3 player. I’d play it all the way through two or three times.
